Sheri Katz

Dr. Sheri Katz founded Learning Solutions for Learning Success with Judith McNamara in 2000, and currently is the Clinical Director. Dr. Katz’s experience with children and families is extensive; she has provided individual, family, and group therapy for adults and children for many years.

The former director of the Family Advocacy Center at Baystate Medical Center, Dr. Katz also has a background in forensic evaluations, assessments and trauma. Prior to joining the Family Advocacy Center, she was a psychologist at Franklin Medical Center and a pediatrics clinical consultant at Baystate Medical Center.

Dr. Katz has given workshops, lectures, presentations, and trainings to hospitals, schools, mental health organizations and the community. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Spanish from the State University of New York at Albany; a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College; and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology, also from Boston College. She is a licensed psychologist in the state of Massachusetts.

A High School Graduate of the School of Performing Arts in dance (FAME) she brings music and dance to her work with children and adolescents. She is married to Dan Plotkin.

Dr. Katz will have telephone call hours every Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m. to answer questions about reports, or any other clinical concerns. At least 48 hours before calling Dr. Katz, please call our main office at 413-584-0265, so that our secretaries can alert Dr. Katz that you will be calling her.  The secretaries will then make sure that all of your information is available when Dr. Katz speaks with you.
